Shepherd’s Care

Shepherd's Care ministry supports families with young children by building strong bonds of friendship, gently guiding the children as they grow and helping them learn about Jesus by celebrating the wonder of God’s love for us.

Shepherd's Care is a not-for-profit ministry of Shepherd of the Grove Lutheran Church. We serve children age 3 years through five years in our pre-school program and Kindergarten through 1st grade children attending Cedar Island Elementary School in Maple Grove, Minnesota.

Tuition

Tuition rates at Shepherd's Care are competitive with those of other centers in the area.

Infants
Age 6 weeks up to 16 months
$265/week Full time (introductory rate)
$75/day Full days (minimum of 3 days)

Toddlers
Age 16 months –33months
$220/week Full time (includes catered lunches)
$60/day Full days (minimum of 3 days)

Preschool
Age 33 months and over until enters Kindergarten
$195/week Full time (includes catered lunches)
$55/day for full days
$30/day for half days

Kindergarten
$155/week Full time
$48/day for full days
$30/day for mornings only
$20/day for afternoons only
$8/day additional for no-school days

  • All tuition payments are due on Monday. A $10 late fee will be assessed if payment is not received by Wednesday.
  • There is a Late Pick-Up Fee of $10 for every quarter hour or portion thereof past 6:00 pm.
  • Students are considered full time if they are enrolled 4 or more days a week for at least 5 hours a day.
  • Part-time students pay normal daily rates for any scheduled days they are absent.

Shepherd’s Care is closed on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July Fourth, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and the day after Christmas. No tuition is due on those days.

Enrollment Fee

$40 due at time of application will hold a spot for your child for two weeks from application date.

A $100 deposit is needed to hold a spot for your child with a start date of more than two weeks from application date. This deposit will be applied to your child’s last week’s tuition payment with a two week written notice.
